Hi ya'll and welcome to my page =D
A little about me....My name is Megan - I'm 31, been married for just over 11 years to my wonderful husband, Bryon. We have 3 children; Kaylea-11, Kaleb-6, and Katie Jo-4. I was born and raised in north western Missouri.
I have struggled all my life with my weight. I was an only child for the longest time and I always got what I wanted...and most of the time that was cookies, cakes and ice cream.
I was active in grade school and middle school but took a breather in high school and have pretty much been on a break since then.
I have tried to lose weight but I will be honest and say I never gave a 100% effort. I did lose 30 lbs one time by counting calories but the stress of work & not having a family life got to me.
Everything changed this year. My parents are going thru a divorce. My mom used to watch my children and she had to return to work. I soon realized that I could not afford childcare so I decided to stay home.
Recently, a friend undergone gastric bypass and had amazing results. Despite the risks, I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did.
I had several complications but all and all, every minute of it has been worth it. I've lost 132 lbs and am continuing down the scale.
Ultimate goal: 160lbs
12-31-12 - 277
3.2.13 - 259.8 lbs!!!
1 yr surgervisary goal
199 lbs or less (8/6/13)
Gastric Bypass 8/6/12
High protein, low fat, low sugar, low carb, low processed food
I'm 31...been married for 11 years now...I have 3 beautiful children...I currently am a stay at home mom, preparing to undertake homeschooling this coming school year (fall 2013). In August, I underwent Gastric Bypass and it has by no means been an easy road. I am down 132 lbs this year and it has all been worth it.
I am an addicted "pinner"

"Direct yourself, consistently and persistently, toward the places, situations, experiences, people and results that you wish to have in your life.
You have more than enough energy, opportunities and ability, when focused in a specific direction, to achieve whatever you choose.
So choose to choose. Decide how your life will be, this hour, this day, this year, this century, and live the true richness of making it happen."
-- Ralph Marston

"Even if the challenges are immense and the obstacles are many, step forward and live the life you choose to live. Your dreams are worth every effort.
Even if you get knocked down again and again, get right back up and get going. With enough persistence, any goal is within your reach.
Even if you can’t see all the way to the end of the road, go ahead and take the first step. Each time you make some progress, you’ll find new ways to make even more.
Even if your results fall short of your expectations, keep making the effort. Each new day brings you more experience, wisdom and effectiveness.
Even if you’ve been deeply disappointed in the past, focus on the positive possibilities. For your future is what you choose to make it now."
