The cute, wonderful boxer phenom, Iggy.

Reach for it!!
11/27 update. No change in weight, I'm considering this maintenance before starting to lose more! I've been busy with executing my father's will and taking care of a bunch of misc details. Sometimes feel accomplished, other times sadness keeps hitting me. Like when I get junk mail for my dad (yesterday an invite to a retirement home here in NC, when he lived in Mass.) And, it's compounded missing my mother, who died in July 2011. Like, hey, I'm an orphan. Probably not making sense, and I'll ...

Probably not making sense, and I'll change this later...
I'm working with my husband on our Pepperidge Farm distributorship, but it's really his gig, not mine, so I need to figure that out too...
I'm still working out, I'm eating better (if only I could give up Lays potato chips for good), starting to cook more from scratch. I like the new SP Start Page where I can monitor sleep, mood, etc. so, all in all, staying motivated by SP and Spark friends!
Up 1.5 lbs, not bad considering what's been going on. My dad was ill, briefly, and died in August. I was his health proxy, and now his executor so dealing with paperwork, claims, clearing my childhood home and more. It's hard to grieve when you have to be practical. And it's easy to revert to bad habits. But it's just 1.5, I'm back at the gym, I'm going for walks, and watching what I eat.
Down 20 lbs from my highest. Very glad, it gives me faith I can lose more and reach my goals. Was out of town and not working out due to family illness and death, which caused me to give myself some downtime - but will be back at gym next week and looking to lose the next 10 lbs.
Reaching inside myself to be healthy and fit. Realizing, finally, it is a journey, there are ups and downs, and when I'm down I just need to get back up.
There is never a good time to succeed, there are always life stresses. So I need to work around them and continue my journey.
I found SP a few years back-and was on and off for a few years. Now I'm back using the trackers, getting motivated by member successes, and learning more about living healthy.
Looking at my profile today, I realized I've lost 15 lbs since Feb 2012. Maybe not a lot, but now I believe I can lose another 15, then another until I reach my weight goal.
Now I'm going to go out, move around, and be happy. Thanks for visiting with me. -Maria

I'm Maria, my husband is Mark, a baseball umpire. We co-own and operate an independent Pepperidge Farm snack distributorship. I love flavor-blasted Goldfish and Caramel Apple Pie cookies, but try not to eat our profits! We have a boxer mix puppy, Iggy.
I love to read, walk, travel, and shop for shoes.
