2008 and I'm going strong!!

Ah, a new year, don't we all just love it! I have been with sparks now for 3 years in march and i have managed to keep off most of the weight i gained. It has been really hard with the holidays and the Food, ah the wonderful, wonderful food.
I have joined a gym ( since sep 2007) and go everyother day for about 1 hour to 2 hours if im really in the mood to burn some calories. But im slacking alittle, oh ok alot. I could be working so much harder. But being that this is a new year and the ...

I have joined a gym ( since sep 2007) and go everyother day for about 1 hour to 2 hours if im really in the mood to burn some calories. But im slacking alittle, oh ok alot. I could be working so much harder. But being that this is a new year and the holidays are over i am getting back on track.
My whole family is getting thin, my mom has joined the gym and i have switched to all orgainic foods. No high frutose corn, no perserves, Nothing. But still everything has fat, saturated fats and of course the dreaded calories.
I am burning off about 400/800 a day.
weight lifting every other day.
I am feeling it!! but still the weight isnt moving. I'm going to step it up a notch this month and really push my body.

My Goals:
I HAVE BEEN AT THIS FOR 7 MONTHS AND I HAVE SEEN A BIG DIFFERENCE NOT ONLY IN WHAT I LOOK AND FEEL LIKE BUT WHAT I CHOOSE TO PUT IN MY MOUTH. MY GOAL NOW IS TO KEEP UP MY WORKOUTS AND NOT FLAKE OUT. I WANT TO DEFINE MY ABS AND THIN OUT MORE OF MY ARMS AND LEGS. I WANT TO FIT IN MY SIZE 5/6 JEANS AND BE A HOT MOM!

My Program:
I HAVE BEEN ADDING FOOD INTO MY CALANDER, NOT REALLY STICKING TO JUST THE MEAL PLAN. I FIND MY OWN MEALS THAT ARE IN MY RANGE SOME DAYS. NORMALLY I DO MY TAE BO TWO-THREE TIMES A WEEK AND STRENGTH TRAINING REALLY ONLY ABOUT 20 MINS A DAY.I ALSO HAVE STARTED RUNNING FOUR DAYS A WEEK. SOMEDAYS YOU WONT FEEL LIKE DOING IT BUT YOU HAVE TOO, IVE COME TOO FAR TO STOP NOW.

Personal Information:
MY NAME IS MARYBETH, IM 26 YEARS OLD. I LIVE IN JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA AND HAVE TWO CHILDREN ONE IS 4.5AND THE OTHER IS 3. BOTH ARE BOYS. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IN GOOD SHAPE UNTIL I HAD MY FIRST SON AND GAINED 60 POUNDS, I EASILY LOST MOST OF MY WEIGHT FROM HIM BEFORE HAVING MY SECOND CHILD 19 MONTHS LATER. I HAVE NOW LOST 99% OF THAT WEIGHT AND NOW IM WORKING ON TONING AND LOSING 10 -15 MORE POUNDS. I GET MOST OF MY EXERCISE FROM CHASING THEM AROUND AND REGULAR HOUSE WORK AND DOING MY TAE BO. I REALLY NEED TO DO MORE, THATS WHY I JOINED HERE AND I JOINED THE GYM. i DO 30 -60 MINS OF EXERCISE A DAY AND I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!

Other Information:
I BELIEVE THAT MY WEIGHT HAS TO DO WITH WHAT I EAT AND HOW MUCH ACTIVITY I DO DURING THE DAY, I DONT THINK YOU CAN BLAME IT ON GENETICS OR HOW YOU WERE RAISED. I LOOK AT SOCIETY AND WONDER "WHAT THE **** HAPPENED TO ALL OF ARE CHILDREN !!! THEY ARE SOO OBESE, SO INACTIVE AND MOSTLY WHAT WE DONE TO OUR SELFS. 90% OF AMERICA IS OBESE. WHY?WHY DO WE CHOOSE TO FEED ARE KIDS FRENCH FRIES INSTEAD OF COOKING A MEAL, BECAUSE ITS EASY AND ITS FAST. BUT AS MOST ALL OF US ON THIS WEBSITE HAVE LEARNING IT DOESN'T PAY TO TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT. THIS CHANGE SHOULD BE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY NOT JUST FOR US.

hi!!!
Turbo jam is a kickboxing DVD I have. Its sooo fun. its gets me out of bed at 4:30am LOL.. I have been doing it for a year plus and bought new ones christmas.. if you go to beachbody.com you can check it out. it doesn't show vidieo if it(wish they would) but its soo fun. Its more like dance-and its a great workout! Im on a turbo jam team here and everyone there will tell you how good and effective it is.. my thing is food! LOL. i have always been a mover- just have hard time with food- 1st Im eating too much- then Im not eating enuf! ugg :)
anyway- u are so lucky 2 live in FL. My hubby worked down there in Pensecola in 05 all winter doing roofs from the hurricane damage and we got to take 2 trips down to see him for a week each! it was my 1st time at ocean and I FELL IN LOVE! close to pensecola?

Thanks for the message on my SparkPage. You are extremely encouraging. Your boys are absolutely adorable. Way to commit to good health in 2006/2007. I completely understand the desire to want to ease into those HS jeans. I can't wait for that day to come. Plus my HS reunion is lurking just around the corner. PM me or leave another comment if you're interested in a weekend run together, ride, or chat over tea/coffee at Starbucks. I know very few people in this area and would love to have someone with similar goals and mindset.
