After 2 decades of putting my family ahead of myself, this is my time to focus on my own health & wellness. My family will always come first in my life but I have to carve out time and priorities for me. I have learned to LOVE fitness and consider myself a gym mouse (as opposed to the full fledged gym rat!) I love challenging myself and finding out just what this body can do.

My Goals:
My goals are to get off the diabetes meds; have my heart condition wayyy under control; and just be as healthy as I was meant to be. (Totally off diabetes meds 10/26/12)

New goals:
Complete a fitness challenge every month.

Try 6 new fitness classes in 2013.

Do a virtual 5K every month and complete at least one "on the ground" one.

My Program:
I am eating around 2000 calories with a focus on getting 90-120 grams of protein daily. We have totally eliminated processed foods from our home. I work out with a trainer at least once a week but am at the gym 6 days a week and LOVE IT.

Other Information:
I'm just a simple Christian woman who always wants God to receive the glory in all that I do. I have no hidden agendas. What you see is what you get!

I do walking mostly. And maybe the occasional XBOX Kinect workout game.
