My Goals:
My goals for 2008:
1. Lose 60 pounds.
2. Write three books.
3. Go to Hawaii with my family.

My Program:
I was impressed with the nutrition helps in this program. I plan to follow the meals plans (with occasional changes) because I'll know just what calories and grams I'm getting.

Personal Information:
I am from Idaho. I was born and raised here but I've lived in San Jose, San Fransisco, Salt Lake City, Las vegas and Seattle. I've moved around a lot but I always come home. Where else can you feel comfortable leaving your doors unlocked, say hello to almost everyone you meet and run to Yellowstone Park and home in a day. Jackson Hole is nearby too. I like the camping, back packing and outdoors past times we have here.

Hi Maxine, please forgive me for not writing sooner. I've only just found your kind comments on Ambelene's "New kid on the block" thread. I would be honoured to be added as your friend, and would love to add you to m friends. How are you doing with your goals? Remember, reward consistency, not results. I'm struggling to be consistent with my exercise. The days just seem to whizz by and when I lift my head again, it's late and I've done nothing. I blogged my thoughts about that just yesterday.
Keep at it, and feel free to visit, browse my food and exercise logs or read my blog anytime. We're all here to help each other and it's great to find a new friend.
Happy Sparking,
Margaret

Hi Maxine, How are things going for you?? Things aren't too bad here. Shoveled snow this morning, we had about 1/2 inch or so. It is going to be very cold here for the next few days.

How are things going in the weight loss area?? I'm doing okay-slow but steady. I hope to hear from you soon. Have a great week!!!

Dear Maxine, I have never been to your part of the world but I have friends that live close to Yellowstone Park and have seen video clips on TV. You are blessed to have such wonderful places close by and the biggest plus point is being safe.
I live in South Africa and crime is really bad. I have been in tears for two days now because my husband wants to put a safety door in front of our bedroom door, we already have a electric fence around the house and a alarm system within the house. The problem is they throw a blanket or a jacket over the fence and then scale it, they usually tie the husband up, torture him in some way to get the pin number of his credit card, and then rape the woman in front off him. I know it sounds terrible, but this is mild to somethings they do. I feel I have lost all my freedom, and am being held captive to crime. I do not want to live with electric fences, alarms and security doors, but at the end of the day we have no choice.

Being 50 poses great challenges but they can be overcome. I am loosing slowly but surely.

I would like to share a "secret" with you. Our metabolism slowdown, and one of the most assured ways to get it going is to exercise the moment you wake up.
I know exactly whats going through your mind, but all it will take is 8 min.

Please do yourself a favor and buy yourself the book "8 MINUTES IN THE MORNING FOR MAXIMUM WEIGHT LOSS" by Jorge Cruise or log on to

Believe me you wont be sorry.

Remember you are not on diet, you are remaking a better, healthier, sexier you.

I know we are only 18 days into the new year, but have you stared setting and goals in place to accomplish your new year goals.

My grandfather taught me a valuable lesson as a child, it was "It's good to have a goal but a goal will only stay a dream until you decide to do something about it."

I always dreamed of having my own restaurant, and 12 years ago I started by cooking and delivering meals of excellence to a Stainless steel company. One day I prepared a meal for the CEO of the company, I received a phone call from him, he wanted me to do a meal for him at my home for visitors from Germany. Well one thing lead to the other I found an old little house, my husband restored it for me and I had my private restaurant for exclusive dinners. I sold it 2 years ago at a wonderful profit, with that money we bought a lovely log cabin on a game farm, we have giraffe, antelope and many other wild animals walking freely around us.
So when I really feel jailed in, we pack up and go to the farm, It is safe there to the extent that we sleep with open doors.

I am looking forward to hear that you have started with a draft on one of your books.

I lover Ginger, I am a great fan of dogs big and small and a great lover of nature and wild life.
