This is the Year to get it right!!!

Here I am back after being AWOL for too many months. I gained back almost all the weight I lost before! I have not tracked my food or kept up with Spark People. Shame on me! I'm going to TRY to start over and lose those extra pounds for good! I know I can to it with God's help and your support!

My Goals:
Eat small portions, walk, exercise and lose 30 pounds by my 80th birthday!

My Program:
1. Ride the bike at least 10 minutes a day.

3. Drink 8 or more glasses of water a day.

4. Eat more fresh fruits and veggies.

5. Get 8 hours of sleep

6. Use a salad plate for meals.

Personal Information:
I am a Christian lady married to my childhood sweetheart, who is a retired United Methodist Pastor. We are enjoying some of the things we couldn't while we were working. We are still 'newly weds' but before this marriage, we both had long and happy first marriages until we both lost our spouses in 2004. We are thankful to God for bringing us together. We look forward to each day and try to give God praise and thanks for all the many ways He has blessed us.



Other Information:
I worked as a secretary/bookkeeper from the time I was in high school until I retired. Now, I wonder how I managed to work 8 hours a day for all those years and do all the housework at home, too!

A beautiful love story, and wish you many, many more. Lost my DH will be 3 years May 1st, and we were married 62 years when he crossed over.

I go through periods of not losing weight when I think I've done everything right, including cutting back on calories only to discover that I have the wrong ratio of carbs to proteins to fats. The bottom line is that I am doing okay with calories, but not enough of them are protein. If you haven't already, you might want to look at that using the SP nutrition tools.
