This is the Year to get it right!!!

Here I am back after being AWOL for too many months. I gained back almost all the weight I lost before! I have not tracked my food or kept up with Spark People. Shame on me! I'm going to TRY to start over and lose those extra pounds for good! I know I can to it with God's help and your support!

My Goals:
Eat small portions, walk, exercise and lose 30 pounds by my 80th birthday!

My Program:
1. Ride the bike at least 10 minutes a day.

3. Drink 8 or more glasses of water a day.

4. Eat more fresh fruits and veggies.

5. Get 8 hours of sleep

6. Use a salad plate for meals.

Personal Information:
I am a Christian lady married to my childhood sweetheart, who is a retired United Methodist Pastor. We are enjoying some of the things we couldn't while we were working. We are still 'newly weds' but before this marriage, we both had long and happy first marriages until we both lost our spouses in 2004. We are thankful to God for bringing us together. We look forward to each day and try to give God praise and thanks for all the many ways He has blessed us.

Other Information:
I worked as a secretary/bookkeeper from the time I was in high school until I retired. Now, I wonder how I managed to work 8 hours a day for all those years and do all the housework at home, too!

Good luck with the Daniel Plan! I have had Sparkfriends who have done it in the past and they seemed to get good results. Unfortunately I can't remember which Spark friends have done it, and I don't know of any who are doing it now. But there is Sparkteam for it..I see Betrh048 has provided the link.

Have a great week!

SparkPeople does have a Daniel Plan Team. It looks like the team is following Rick Warren's book. You can check out the team wall at the following link:

You will have to copy and paste the link into your browser to get to the webpage.

emoticon Dorothy,
Thanks so much for stopping by my "All or Nothing" blog and adding your supportive comments. I have heard of "The Daniel Plan," but have no experience with it. I know of some folks who have chosen to follow it to improve their health. If you are truly interested in doing more with it, you may want to look to see if there is a SP team doing it. There are so many SP teams that chances are there may be a team reading the book and supporting each other in following the plan.

There is a SP Daniel Plan Team. Check out the following link:

emoticon Hi, Dorothy, Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, it is challenging to remember some of the new things we are learning when the new things are designed to replace old well-used habits. I am challenged to put all these new ideas and tips into practice, too.
