Trying to eat Gluten free and Sugar free. Anyone else doing this?

After years of giving in to almost all of my sugar cravings, I'm eating Sugar free. I woke up one day and decided that Sugar was killing me! About the same time, I read that Gluten can be the cause of a rash. For about 10 years I have had a chronic rash that 4 or 5 Dermatologist have been unable or unwilling to diagnose. I decided to eat Gluten free and see if the rash would go away. I started this on October 28, 2015. It's too early to know if it is working, but I am feeling better, ...

I decided to eat Gluten free and see if the rash would go away. I started this on October 28, 2015. It's too early to know if it is working, but I am feeling better, not craving sweets and not missing breads and other baked goodies. I have lost 5 pounds, so far and hope to lose much more in the near future. I know I can to it with God's help and your support!

My Goals:
Eat small portions, walk, exercise and reach my ideal weight by Christmas 2016!

My Program:
I am trying to eliminate simple Sugars and Gluten from my diet.

Personal Information:
I am a Christian lady married to my childhood sweetheart, who is a retired United Methodist Pastor. We are enjoying some of the things we couldn't while we were working. We are still 'newly weds' but before this marriage, we both had long and happy first marriages until we both lost our spouses in 2004. We are thankful to God for bringing us together. We look forward to each day and try to give God praise and thanks for all the many ways He has blessed us.

Other Information:
I worked as a secretary/bookkeeper from the time I was in high school until I retired. Now, I wonder how I managed to work 8 hours a day for all those years and do all the housework at home, too!

“The chief beauty about time is that you cannot waste it in advance.
The next year, the next day, the next hour are lying ready for you, as perfect, as unspoiled, as if you had never wasted or misapplied a single moment in all your life. You can turn over a new leaf every hour if you choose.”
