I love NASCAR, football, baseball, well, actually most sports as a spectator. I met my husband Country/Western dancing in Hawaii, of all places. I lived there for 20 years. At the 15 year mark, I married for the first and last time(lol) while there and then traveled up and down the East Coast, before my husband was home-ported back to Hawaii on his new submarine. Was fortunate to have another 5 1/2 years in my home state. We have now been married for 30 years and still love rooting for our different drivers and teams-makes for a VERY interesting household on race and game days!

My Goals:
I want to reach a good, healthy weight that makes it possible for me to do more fun things than I do now. I want to be comfortable in my own skin and not have to think twice before saying yes to an outing. I really don't like having to think about location, stairs, seating, and what I would be wearing before accepting an invite to do something.


My Program:
I have accepted a job as a dog walker and love that it gets me moving during the week in addition to my own cardio and strength exercise program. I look for Spark exercise videos that challenge me. I track my exercises so I can increase reps as well as add new exercises to work different muscle groups and to keep my interest. I track my food to have a reference to look back on when things don't seem to be going in the right direction, coupled with my fitness tracker, it really helps me to adjust my program to reach my goals.

    So you lost 1 lbs, 2 lbs, 3 lbs and you scream and jump because you're so excited. You finally see the scale moving in the direction it's supposed to. Then you look in the mirror and wonder, "But wait! Where did I lose it from? I look the same!" Then you're depressed because that one pound should have meant you looked like you lost 50 lbs. Be patient! One day the scale number and your mirror will match!! Stay on track, don't give up and smile while you suffer. LOL

    You know, sometimes you just don't want to do it! You want to eat whatever you want, drink whatever you want, don't exercise if you don't want and say "so what!". That's the little red devil on one shoulder. On the other shoulder the little angle says, "because it means your life, that's what!" and here you are!! Keep up the hard work to a healthier you!
