First of all, I want to be healthy enough to live a long life!! I'm going to start by paying attention to what I eat and how much I move my body.
Secondly, I've been such a slacker and now that my daughter is engaged, do I really want to have a permanent pictoral record of this time in my life? NO WAY! I do not want to wear an "old lady" dress to her wedding.
Finally, I really don't want my children worrying that my health will be an issue in their future. I love them, my husband, and now ME!
I'm depending on the Nutrition tracker to help me to understand exactly what I NEED to eat to give my body fuel. I'm going to check in every day to get as many points by truly reading, learning and doing!
I'm from Pittsburgh where I've lived all of my life. I'll be married 30 years in September (2011) to a wonderful man who I've known since I was nine. We have four grown children (two still live at home), five dogs (all live at home) and one cat (ditto).
I saw your comment in secrets of success. You said when planning on going to a restaurant you look online and then enter those foods into your tracker. This makes it better to plan the rest of your meals and snacks during the day. There was no Like button.. so consider this your like button. I do the same thing about half the time.
