I think this may have been at my heaviest....or close to it.
A lot has changed in the last month or so -- I got a new job (in a completely different field), which has led me to move back to my home state. There are a few family members in the area, but that's it. I want to take this opportunity to get back on track. I am going to be meeting so many new people in the upcoming months, I just want to be known as 'that girl' who just has a little something special...like a little SPARK! :)
I have been on SparkPeople before (a few years ago), but didn't really stick with it for very long. My weight has been going up, up, and up. At age 24, I reached an all-time high of 252 lbs (I am only 5'2"), and was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), which helps to explain a lot of my struggles (including weight gain, depression, acne, etc. etc.). I was also told that I am in a "pre-diabetes" stage, and it is only "a matter of time" before I develop diabetes (that is, if I can't get my weight under control). I was put on a few different medications to help with the PCOS, started seeing a counselor, and I also went on a low-carb diet (Atkins). I lost 28 pounds in 3 months, but then hit a plateau where I stayed for a few months.
I joined Jenny Craig, and was doing well, but then couldn't keep up financially. I wanted to be at a healthy weight, but I also needed to have healthy finances, so I stopped going to Jenny Craig. My lowest weight had been 207, but since I left Jenny my weight has slowly crept up...
-QUIT diet soda!
-Exercise 3-4 times per week
For now, I just want to focus on consistently tracking my food and activity.
