No Better Time Than The Precious Present!

If it has to do with health and wellbeing, I can't learn enough. I love to share and encourage others as in doing so I get so much back in return. Growing up heavy and living through 30, 50 and lastly a 100lb weight loss in my 45 years, now 5 years ago has given me a gift of the challenge of living and learning how to remain in the "results not typical" club. This site is just what WE need to take our journeys to the next step..... whatever that is for each and everyone of us.

I have been working at keeping my weight from creeping back up and having to take it all off again, I have succeeded at keeping 80% off and want to get back to the place I feel my best and that isabout 15 to 20 lbs less than here. I thought I was living a really healthy life; no soda, low fat, good exercise, lots of water, etc. but I recently committed to doing more by eating mostly whole foods, avoiding white flour, hydrogenated oils, and HFCS and gluten and have stopped my unexplained weight swings, heart palpatations, leg cramps, etc. I feel great but haven't lost any weight since starting in Feb. Once I learned about SP in a magazine article, I knew it was a good place for me to venture.
I look forward to this next step in my journey.....

Hi!
Thanks so much for letting me know about the SparkTeam for UM! I've added myself, and hopefully we can "spark" some more discussion on the page.

I'm struggling w/ eating enough fresh vegetables and fruits because buying organic (and really, any fresh produce) is so very expensive, but I do the best I can, and I am eating a lot of brown rice & beans, and whole wheat pasta. I also add ground flaxseed to anything I can think of, and have been eating omega-3 organic eggs, usually about 1 a day. When I need an "on-plan" splurge, I have a few pieces of the extra-dark organic chocolate. LOVE IT!
