Cautiously optimistic

I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. Sometimes I am amazed that I keep trying and trying and I don't give up. In the past I have always tried to go at it by myself. Now I have already seen how helpful the SP community is. I have a teenage daughter and I want to be a role model for her by taking care of myself.

Thanks for stopping by my page to read my blog. I really like your "one good choice a day" idea. I can manage one thing and it sure doesn't sound as overwhelming as thinking about everything I want to be doing. One day at a time I guess. Hope things have been going pretty good for you lately too. Maybe we'll get back on track together emoticon

You definitely hit the nail on the head about not feeling good about myself when I"m not exercising and treating my body right. That's definitely a fact!

The only advice I have is one I struggle with listening to myself... but if the binges are because you let yourself get too hungry, as I sometimes do, eat something before you get to that point. Even if it puts you over on calories or whatever. It's always better to eat a little something and stave off the hunger than end up binging.

But if it's like most of my binges, you just WANT TO EAT... well, I wish I had some advice, but I don't. I just try to wipe the slate clean and get back on track the next day and give myself another chance to get it right. The nighttime eating monster is a devil.
