Keeping on Keeping on
I joined SparkPeople in 2008 and did really well for about a year. Then life got complicated and I quit trying . For the last year I've made small attempts to get back on track but never followed through. I'm determined to change that now. I've gained back all the weight I'd lost plus some and I'm tired of not having any energy. So, my husband and I spent the day going thru this website planning meals and and exercises to fit our family's schedule. I'm looking forward to feeling good ...

I've gained back all the weight I'd lost plus some and I'm tired of not having any energy. So, my husband and I spent the day going thru this website planning meals and and exercises to fit our family's schedule. I'm looking forward to feeling good again! Update (March 2013): I lost 27 pounds shortly after rededicating myself to SparkPeople. Then I hit a plateau in November of last year. By researching and changing my diet plan to one that helps reverse insulin resistance, I've finally started loosing again! Sometimes, you have to try something different to figure out what works. I'm so glad I didn't give up!

My Goals:
My goal is to complete the "Beginner Walking Workouts" 12 week program. I can walk half a mile now and want to improve that so that I can start training to walk a 5K. I've dreamt of doing a 5K since I was a teen. I am also researching and planning to start a home organization business.
My Program:
I am using the videosfor my strength training by adding reps and other videos. For cardio and endurance I'm beginning a walking program. I am using the meal plan from _The Core Balance Diet_ and _Is It Me or My Hormones?_ (both by Marcelle Pick) to correct hormone imbalances and insulin resistance.
