A new beginning

Hi. My name is Barb and I'm on the journey of a lifetime. I want and need to get healthier. In order to do that I have a lot of weight to lose, which means I need to eat healthier and get a move on it! I need to focus on fitness. I have the power to change my life around, and I intend to do just that.

I have many interests - besides my family and my church - which include reading and art. I love to draw, paint, colored pencils, water color pencils, water colors - you name it. I'm not professing to be a great artist. I'm merely telling you about a passion I have and a fun, expensive!, hobby that I have.

THANK YOU FOR THE FLOWERS BABS. MY MIL IS STILL LIVING BUT AT 95, SHE NEEDS LOTS AND LOTS OF HELP. BUT I DID LOSE MY DAUGHTER ON THANKSGIVING. I DO HAVE HER ESTATE SETTLED NOW SO LOTS OF THE PRESSURE IS OFF. BUT I WOULDN'T WISH 6 MONTHS OF HOSPICE ON ANYONE. IT IS HORRIBLE AND NO MOTHER SHOULD EVER HAVE TO LOSE A CHILD REGARDLESS OF THEIR AGE.

Hope your challenge is working out. This part from an article may help!

"It is important to then make a conscious effort to transform your thoughts. It may be true that you often cannot overcome your food cravings or stick to your diet.

"However, if there are times when you are able to stand strong, then FOCUS ON THOSE MOMENTS AND CELEBRATE THE TRIUMPHS. Maybe you put less sugar in your coffee today and said no to a second slice of pizza.
