I tried to answer your email last night, but could not get the reply to send. I'll try here. I started the virtual walk because I found the treadmill really boring, even when I was watching tv. I needed some kind of challenge.
I've visited Britain several times, so thought that would be a good place to start. I knew about the Land's End to John O'Groats, so googled the name and found a blog by Mark Moxom, who walked the whole thing. i'm following his route, and then looking up info about the places I pass through.
There is a team called "where are you walking to?" which has several walks, including a monthly challenge. Hope you decide to try a walk, I really enjoy it and have surprised myself by my determination to stick to it.

Hi there! Thanks for the friend add and for your very kind comment on the picture of my daughter and I! We enjoy doing the races together, something I never ever thought I would like to do much less be able to do.
I'm in therapy now for plantar faciitis so not sure of our next race.
