I am trying to make the best of each day the Lord has given me. My body is the temple of the Lord, and therefore it is my duty to keep myself healthy and more able to do the things He commands me to do. I want to be able to live a long healthy life to be able to enjoy by family and to enjoy doing things with my wonderful grandchildren.
The person who really wants to do something finds a way; the other person finds an excuse.

I couldn't help noting that you eat slowly & your hubby is a fast eater. Have to share this story with you since we have the same situation.

Eating lunch out one day & he finished long before me. I thought he was using the restroom. Instead he had paid our check. He came to tell me to take my time. Hewas walking down to the nearby shopping center. I could meet up with him when i was done enjoying my meal.

Hi there, living in the UK I do not celebrate thanksgiving. In order to keep on track I try not to buy food that I would reach for when stressed. If I want some chocolate I have to walk to the shop to get it - which adds in some extra exercise!

My plan is to be more mindful of what I eat and encourage myself to exercise. My neck is so much better after a few sessions with an Osteopath and the neck exercises make a difference. I don't keep goodies of any description at home - too tempting

I have an advantage when it comes to celebrating Thanksgiving which is that I'm home alone. Since I've not felt well most recent years on Thanksgiving Day due to Minnesota's fibro weather, it's been a relief not to have to go out or to cook for someone else. The one thing I can do to keep me on track this week is spread my treat foods out over a week instead of all in one day and limit myself to one sugar-free pie for dessert. I've not brought any off plan foods into the house so all I need to do is watch portions.
