I eat a lot of meatless meals, which in turn gives me more fiber. Nuts, seeds, non-GMO veggie burgers, salads and fruits. I also use the Fiber One Protein bars as "dessert". Oatmeal with fruit and nuts or a green smoothie for breakfast. I use quinoa and other grain medleys instead of white potatoes or white rice...Of course lots of sweet potatoes! Lentils, peas and beans are more of an "entree" than a side. I also make these No-Bake Energy Bites, which have lots of protein and fiber. Great as a quick breakfast, snack or dessert. I add flax, hemp and chia seed to just about everything!! I buy tortillas and chips that have extra seeds to eat with homemade salsa and/or guacamole. A lot of the recipes I use are on my Pinterest page. If you're on there look for pianomomof3. I have boards for "Healthy Foods and Recipes" and also for "Vegan/Vegetarian" recipes.
I DO play the piano! It's my job, currently, at one of our high schools. Plus I play and lead worship at our church. I also play for our community theatre in the summer - which I'm doing now. I used to teach private lessons, but I'm going back to school now to finish my Masters in Christian Counseling.
Praying for increased health for both of us as we press in to Him for all we desire, rather than food. 115 days ago
I am on day 14 of the Fiber-Full challenge and noticed that you had posted about not getting in enough each day. I was wondering if you'd found ways to do that? I would be happy to share some of my fiber-rich foods and ideas that typically put me waaaay over 30 gms per day. I don't know why your name and comment stuck out to me, but then when I clicked on your page and saw that you, too are a Christian, I knew it was a God-thing! :)
Good luck, and many prayers that you reach your health goals. With HIM all things ARE possible!!! 116 days ago
