My husband wants to make our next trip to South America about the Amazon and the Galapagos, and he'd love to go back to Patagonia. We will probably do that in about 5 years. There are so many places to see and we really just started traveling extensively in the last 10 years, but more so since I retired a few years ago. Our next up is Alaska for 3 weeks (our first time there), and then in 2016 Spring we are going to do a long driving trip throughout the U.S. We are the same way, always planning our next trip. 656 days ago
No, the ham was not too spicy.....BUT here are the changes I made because I cook for several people who do not like things very spicy. The mustard I used was dijon because I did not have any other. I cut the cayenne by half, and used 2 TBS rather than 3 of horseradish. I gave the recipe to my brother, and he did with with a spiral ham, and used all the spices as given. He said his whole family really liked it, not too sweet with a bit of "bam" at the end. I think I am glad I backed it back again. And I have all the leftover marinade after dinner that I used to cook with the ham bone for soup in a couple of weeks. Think the pea soup with that will be really good.
