5% Fall Challenge Commitment
I will do ST/PT 3-4x/wk, walk at lunch 5 days/wk, and swim 2-3x/wk. I will follow the clean eating life style. I will record my daily exercise and Living the Good Life Points, and on Saturday mornings I will weigh in and record it. I will check in with my team daily and leave a comment on the Discussion Board (when I have something to say!). I will read and comment on blogs as I have time.
GOAL: Increase strength/endurance/balance...build muscle, lose inches, and lose 9.5 more #...Strengthen my back and legs.
A friend (KADYDIDI) from our quilting guild introduced me to SP. I joined in August 2008, but didn't get around to doing this page until January 2009 when I signed up for the New You Bootcamp Challenge with my second daughter. I have struggled with weight issues for a while (since before the birth of my youngest-now 36). I want to get healthy, which includes losing some weight to help out my arthritis in my back, neck, and feet. I had bilateral total knee replacements almost a year ago. I herniated 3 discs in my lower back causing some nerve damage in February 2010 and am still trying to rebuild my strength. I was eating slow carb, but hit a plateau-so, I switched to clean eating and hope to lose a few more lbs.
To weigh in the normal range on BMI.
To eat to fuel my body.
To swim 2-3 days a week.
To do weight training 3 days a week.
I go to PT, walk, and swim.
I eat protein, veggies, complex carbs and fruit 3 meals/day, 7 days a week.
God has blessed me with 3 children (2 daughters-1 son)and 4 grandchildren (3 g-sons, 1 g-daughter), one great grandson, and Spark People. My team mates so far have been great! I was also blessed to have Christian parents who have gone on to be with the Lord and have 3 great sisters-one a marathon runner (not me!) and one aunt who is 103 (for a few more months).
In my spare time, I quilt, study Japanese language, go to Bible study, sing in the village chorus, teach English to Japanese children and adults, and swim! I also enjoy my beautiful view of the ocean.

I had been on a mini vacation where I did not have Internet Service, so I am calling you regarding the planning page for leaders. I am the new ML for the Firecracker's and not sure what I do next. I was a Firecracker for the last 2 challenges, but not a leader, so please get in touch with me so I can learn what I need to do to get things going by the start date of the challenge. It seems we have a few new leaders, so probably none of us know what to do next. There was me mention of a team planning page, but I do not know if you have one and if so, please seen me the link. I lost 6 pounds during the winter challenge and am looking forward to the start of the spring challenge.
