My Goals:
I want to feel more confident about myself.

I want to be as fit and healthy as I can.

I want to live to see my grandchildren (and possibly their children) grow up and be healthy and fit enough to enjoy them.

I want to work on small goals of 10lbs and give myself a small reward everytime I hit one.

I want to see a 'new' me!!






My Program:
Daily exercising, going for long walks, gardening.

Eating healthily.
It is not a diet, it's a healthy eating programme.
It's a way of life and it's going to be MY way of life for the rest of MY life!




Personal Information:
I'm from Yorkshire, England...we call it 'God's Own Country'.

I live in a small village in the country but am only a few miles from the sea so I have the best of both worlds.

I'm 66 years young.

My DH and I have been happily married for 43 years.

I'm a wife, mother, grandma, nana, niece, cousin, aunt and great aunt.

I'm retired from primary education, l had to take early retirement due to illness and after a long struggle l'm now cancer free and back to being part of my community again.
I decided to lose weight and get healthy and am now working towards that goal.


Other Information:
My hobbies are very varied, everything from puzzles to zentangles, reading to gardening, walking to birdwatching, writing to photography.
I love language too, the nuances and foibles, so I enjoy dabbling with writing and poetry...my son once called me a wordsmith...I wish I lived up to it!

Good Morning, Miss Sunshine!
Well, we had sunshine for a bit - but it went away. But just know it will return another day.

Had a good day yesterday. After church, Elaine, Steph and i went out for lunch. And as usual, we visited for a couple of hours - so fun. But now back to Monday and really need to do some house cleaning. This past week have just wanted to knit. Am knitting a KAL (a mystery knit-a-long). Supposed to end up a scarf/ cowl. Fun so far - am using leftover scraps of sock yarn - still figuring out the pattern.

Not sure what i will be doing this week - need to plan our menu and do some serious Bible study. Our pastor is beginning a study of Paul's letter Colossians - will be a good study.

Am sure you are having a good visit with family. I am just in today - doing some baking. Just took some banana bread out of the oven. And am fixing a chicken and rice casserole for lunch.

And will get to the club later. I have been much better the past couple of weeks. Think i am getting spring fever - i do love the warmer weather.

Just want to get out and play in the dirt but it is still just a bit too cool to do much.

Good Morning Martha-Ann. It's a bit cold this morning. I opened the sliding door so I could listen to the birds, but it's a bit nippy and I had to close it.

I love Spring best. The flowers are growing so fast I think if I stood there and watched them I would be able to see them grow... One day they are barely peeping out of the ground and the next they are inches.

We had a few beautiful days that I was able to get outside and clean up some things in the garden. I planted my lily garden. I can't wait to see them bloom.

We will be doing some running today around today round to get supplies to finish the renovations at the cabin on Saturday and I have some wash to do. That gives me exercise running up and down the stairs...lol

Enjoy your rest by the pond. Down time is important too. I hope your knee feels better.

Hope you had a good day with your friend - even with the rain. I went shopping with my Daughter today - to a couple of 2nd hand stores. And came home with a pair of shoes, 3 blouses and 3 pair of slacks. Now to see is they fit.

Am really tired now so am heading to bed and will read for a bit. Then church in the morning. And want to do a bit of garding in the afternoon.

It is warming up - a beautiful sunny day and the same predicted for tomorrow.
