A 'new' me.

Hi I'm Martha-Ann.

My Goals:
I want to feel more confident about myself.

I want to be as fit and healthy as I can.

I want to live to see my grandchildren (and possibly their children) grow up and be healthy and fit enough to enjoy them.

I want to work on small goals of 10lbs and give myself a small reward everytime I hit one.

I want to see a 'new' me!!






My Program:
Daily exercising, going for long walks, gardening.

Eating healthily.
It is not a diet, it's a healthy eating programme.
It's a way of life and it's going to be MY way of life for the rest of MY life!




Personal Information:
I'm from Yorkshire, England...we call it 'God's Own Country'.

I live in a small village in the country but am only a few miles from the sea so I have the best of both worlds.

I'm 66 years young.

My DH and I have been happily married for 43 years.

I'm a wife, mother, grandma, nana, niece, cousin, aunt and great aunt.




Other Information:
My hobbies are very varied, everything from puzzles to zentangles, reading to gardening, walking to birdwatching, writing to photography.
I love language too, the nuances and foibles, so I enjoy dabbling with writing and poetry...my son once called me a wordsmith...I wish I lived up to it!

Good Greay November morn, Martha Ann! I hope this year hs been kind to you. Work has been very tiring and full of anxiety however, it also has been a good rowing lesson and once again, changes require changes in routines and focus and so I am back again. I need to review all and start at my age! I am going on 63 now, so obviously, I have to update my PAGE and my goals, and my methods, etc. With a very sedentary job now, new issues came up and I am working on dealing with them.

Write me, let me know how you are doing! MISSED YOU!

Hi Martha - thanks for checking out my blog - soup is my favorite to prepare - and only for two so that works well - except today I am preparing Lentil Soup Mmmm - nitrous free apple smoked bacon - fresh cayenne from the garden - cilantro , garlic , carrots , sweet potato , veggie broth all the healing ingredients - working great for me but DH - I know he goes out and eats out- what can I do :) have a wonderful day - hugs Karen

Nice you still live by the water. We are 30 minutes from Lake Erie and 45 minutes from Lake Huron. This suits my son as he loves to fish and will get up at 3 in the morning when salmon season opens.
Sounds like your eating plan is working for you. There is a saying " If it ain't broken don't fix it." Good quote !!
The Primal Blueprint is a little different. They feel we should eat more fat and no wheat or grains as they turn to sugar as well.
