Focus, plan, initiate

Keep on the path, focus, plan and then plan some more.

It is working. Not at a fast pace but then I am at an age where fast isn't as good as continuous. I find that if I log into Sparkpeople every morning it keeps my focus on things that will help me stick to the plan. I will keep going to the fittness center. And knock on wood once more for good luck - I haven't hurt myself because I am pacing myself more.

The last time I updated this information I noted that it was the longest period of time that I have been on any diet or healthy living program - that was just a few days into the program. Now it has been several weeks and I am still doing the Sparkpeople thing....and now I can re-iterate that it is because of this program and all of the positive reinforcement I get from the plan and from you folks out there....Thanks!

My Goals:
Goals are to gradually work into a fitness regime so minimize injuries. Portion size will also be a focus in order to lose weight and maintain the weight loss.

My Program:
The fitness center has been a blessing. We can walk, bike, and work out on strength building machines. Nice to be able to get exercise in the middle of winter!!!

Personal Information:
I grew up in the Black Hills in South Dakota. We moved to Iowa a little over ten years ago and retired shortly thereafter. I love photography, graphic arts on the computer, and the outdoors which would definitely include gardening and walking.
