The fog's just lifting...throw off your bow, your stern...head out the channel. Then the sun hits your face...open up to twelve, steaming now. Then the brids show up...heron gulls, black backs, big dump ducks. You pass the jetties, pass Niles Pond where I skated as a child, then throw a wave to the lighthouse keepers kid on Thatcher Island. Oh my doc asked me "On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst, what would you rate your pain?" I told him a 20! That's w hen I made the decision to get the knee replaced, because I couldn't even sleep!

Yes, there is definitely post op discomfort, but frankly for me, it hurt a WHOLE lot less, even post op than it did prior to the surgery.
