My Goals:
New short-term goal: 30 mile loop of an organized ride on October 11, 2008, the Grand Rapids Wheelmen Colorburst Tour. Keep checking my blog for training updates and how I'm faring.

New long-term goal: A century ride next October. Same tour, 100 mile loop! Let's see if I can train for this one.

I want to be down to 135-140 as quickly as possible!

I want to be a size 10 (or really close) by my next birthday.

I want a job within the next 6 weeks. Actually, I NEED a job within the next 6 weeks.

I want to buy a bathing suit that I'm not embarrassed to wear next summer.

My Program:
I'm logging my food, water and restricting my calories.

I'm doing everything I can to eat healthier and drinking more water than I have in years.

I exercise every day. I alternate between walking and cycling. Strength training is something I'm working on incorporating. I don't enjoy that much.

Personal Information:
I live in Western Michigan. Love the big lake (Lake Michigan) and don't foresee ever moving away from here again. Unless it's to London.

Other Information:
I love old movies (30's and 40's). Watch TCM all the time.

Get on a bike with me, force me to ride mine, and we'll be friends forever! LOL

i didn't realize until today that you left me such a nice message on my page!!! thank you for your kind words!!! i have felt sooo ovrwhelmed lately :( my eating is not going as well as it should. some days are good, but i'm usually too busy (and too tired) to say no to bad food!!! i need help!!!! lol! emoticon

Hi Sheri!

thanks for all the great info. I really am scared about the century. My legs are tired from training so far and I did take Sunday off to recoupe. This week is hard as my husband left Mon. and is on travel til next Monday. I can't get long rides in. I do go to spin classes and really push and ramp up tensions and lower and do sprints....I love the class personally, And, I do think it is great preparation. So this week, I'm taking it day by day. Having a 4 yr old, well, I'm having to re prioritize my goals at times. I do know i'm going to go and do my best...if I don't finish the century, I will do my best and have a bench mark for the following year.

I gotta run... I'll catch up with more later.

I do hope a job turns up for you soon so that isn't on your mind! It can not be easy to be a single mom! I really admire you! I'm keeping you in my thoughts that something you love will be offered to you! Keep looking and stay is out there with your name on it...and a new bike is in your near future!
