My Goals:
My goal is to get back to a healthy weight and BMI. I would love to develop a healthier and more active lifestyle.

My Program:
I have a hard time remembering to eat, so a big part of my program is trying to eat at least 3 times a day and not skip breakfast.

My resolution for 2011 is to jump start my workout routine by being active for 90 days straight. I will do this by:

Zumba Fitness 10 Day Challenge followed by:

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred followed by:

Biggest Loser Cardio Max/ 6 week program.

After those 90 days I'm hoping to be in good enough shape to do P90X and we'll see what happens after that!

Personal Information:
Proud wife of a United States Marine. Mommy of two children, one of which has autism.

Other Information:
Go Gators!

Good morning!
It was good to hear from you again. I hope it didn't sound like I was lumping all children with autism in to a single category when I described my day with the biter. I firmly believe that children with autism are like snowflakes---no two are alike! They all might have similar symptoms but they manifest in so many different ways. He is doing better, and we are as well, in the ways we deal with him. That's the hard part---what works with one child won't necessarily work with the others. I agree with you in how frustrating it must be for those children who are nonverbal and so severe. In my 36 years in education, I have seen wonderful parents dealing with thier children, but sprinkled amongst them, are the few parents who can't or won't do what is necessary for thier child to grow up and be successful. Those are the ones that are so frustrating to the educators. You sound like you are in the first category, and that your son is going to grow up to be a wonderful person. Good for you! Good for him! I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you. I would love to hear what works, and what doesn't work. I think I learn more from parents, than all the classes in the world!

thanks for adding me as a friend. I'll add you, too! Were you in the military too? That is how it sounded when you said from military to military wife. Please extend my thanks to your husband (and to you, too) for his service to our country. I feel very strongly for our military! I have 2 nephews who are both West Point grads and career men. One is currently in Germany and the other in Korea. Have you all been stationed away from home?

Also, I wanted to comment on your words also saying you had a child with autism. I am an elementary school counselor and have worked with the children with special needs, many with autism, for many years. I have great admiration for the parents and families of these children, too.

I look forward to getting to know you better.
Take care,

Hey, I didn't know you were living in Jeffersonville now! I have a friend who lives right on the water, so I'm over there quite a bit. I am right across the river in Louisville. Are you going to the Marine Corps Ball next Saturday in Louisville?? That would be fun if you were, hope you are having a good Friday, enjoy the weekend!! emoticon
