2014 = changes being made to my lifestyle

Joined Sparkpeople many years ago - got involved with different groups but did not make any progress with weight.

Summer of 2011 left sparks deleting my sparkpage - as I wasn't making any progress decided this was not for me. - big mistake.
Rejoined sparkpeople November 2011 with the understanding that I needed to make changes and needed to held accountable

2014
Another year is coming to an end. What have I accomplished? Nothing with respect to my health ...

2014
Another year is coming to an end. What have I accomplished? Nothing with respect to my health except that it has gotten worse.

March 2014 = moved to new home = all on one level as stairs are getting to be a problem

July 2014 = bought a new car. 2 Days later feel going into a health store to purchase a cushion to sit on in new car. Broke my right arm up high near the shoulder. At end of December it is still bothering me.

July 2014 = was told by doctor that I have diabetes. The number when taking the blood that they look for is 180 or below - mine was 450. So am now on meds for this = this is a disease that I should not have because it was brought on due to me not eating healthy and exercising consistently. I have no choice now but to make the changes immediately in order to prevent complication.

July 2014 = sores on my legs got extremely bad which lead me to have nursing care daily = this went on for over 3 months till I finally got moved to the next phase of keeping my legs - I now wear every day compression sock socks from the knew down including the feet. Only time they are off is when having a shower or sleeping. Again this could have been prevented with taking care of my body

September 2014 - hubby had a heart attack. Scared both of us but he is doing very well. After 4 days in the hospital doctor told us that he did not damage his heart at but he should consider it a wake up call to make some changes - especially in the slowing down end of things.

December 2014 = end of this year and I have not made any progress at all in the last year with regard to my weight even with the scare of being a diabetic.

December 18 2014 = married 31 years to the best man there is - love him so much

Have started walking again - as of December 11 2014 wearing the spark activity tracker. So one change has been made. Made goals for steps to be walked from December 11 - 31 2014 and so are I am ahead of the game At end of the month I will put up one of the icons showing that this goal has been met.

2015
I have been working on goals for the new year - will come back last week of December to list the goals for 2015

Your welcome. Hope this finds you doing well and staying on track. I am doing a little better. I have tracked 3X 's this week and did get back to the Gazelle for 10, minutes yesterday. that is a small step but we both know that will lead to bigger steps and reaching goals. Take care.

thanks for the invite. Which group are you referring to? I am still having a lot of ups and downs and can't seem t get committed to making positive changes. Thanks for asking. How are you doing? Hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving and are preparing for a blessed and Merry Christmas.

emoticon emoticon emoticon The Motivator of the Day. What an honor.

So happy to see you are a two time cancer survivor. My son had Testicular Cancer five years ago and his tests have continued to come back "clean." He had surgery and four rounds of chemotherapy so now he works out daily and is very careful about his diet.

I see you have a couple of those "Beautiful Women Award" posts, so I'm sure you know that Sparks doesn't approve of them and has written about them several times, since they are "chain mail", as they say to send them on to 8 more people.
