Blissful
I married in 2007 when I was 52 and he was 58; a first time marriage for both of us. In my utter happiness I have gained 30 pounds on an already overweight frame. I want to celebrate a silver anniversary with my husband and that means to take the best care I can of both of us.

My Goals:
I want to be healthier in mind, spirit, and body. Mind: Read more – I will listen to a book each month. I will read a book from my library each quarter of the year. I will write a letter to friend, family each week. I will learn to identify a new bird (song and behaviors) each week. Reading inspirational stories daily. Spirit: Study more – I will read the Bible 15 minutes per day. I will enroll in a Hebrew class. I will attend Sunday church on a regular basis. I will decide on a 2nd home church, St Anne’s being my first home church (I am Protestant; he is Catholic.) Body: I will participate in an exercise program-tracking progress weekly. I will eat healthy, measure my portions and record my progress. I will plant a garden in the spring and work it daily through the summer.
My Program:
Reading, laughing, fellowshipping, moving, eating, loving, forgiving (myself and others), reframing (words and thoughts) positively.
Personal Information:
I have enjoyed being married these past two years. Amazing how two people so different easily makes one. He is a birder and has lifted my eyes heavenward to see beauty on wings. I am a special education teacher who both loves and is stressed by my job. I commute to work a long way so I seem to collapse into the house each evening. I will definitely need to preplan meals for this very reason. Have you ever noticed how easy foods are high in everything but nutrition? I love being outside, but have found it harder and harder to initially get myself out the door. What a paradox! I am thinking that participation in sparkpeople.com will change that.
Other Information:
The greatest love of my life is Jesus Christ.
