It is like being pregnant. Waiting a long time for that special moment, hoping and fearing what might happen, but overall joyous.
So while thinking, planing and creating I sometimes almost miss a day. To do something daily is an illusion (only when business is involved, it works!). But every other day is manageable. Where do all these hours go?

----------Love your Life - Live your Love!----------
Ok, things I read and learned recently seem to point into one direction. Western civilization, as good as it is, leads to a mindset of getting more and more and that immediately.

We live our life and something is missing, so we buy something or eat something and try to fill the emptiness. Oh yes, we can pay with our creditcards, we can have it all - NOW.

But, what happens?
Our homes become cluttered, our bodies heavy and obese.

What do we want? A simple and instant solutiion. NOW.

But this doesn't work. In most cases there is no instant solution or instant gratification.

We have to work towards our goals, enjoy our rewards, go slow, step by step. Only this way we can be proud of ourselves.

Postponed reward, not because we are poor or can't afford it, but out of choice!

Just a question: Do we really need strawberries in January? What need will be fulfilled? What about waiting till it is their time and we can savor their flavor and know, that we waited for it and waited for the perfect and natural time. What a reward, what a joy!
----------- 5% Spring Challenge 2012 ------------
I'm participating in the Spring 5% Challenge! Yeah!

I'm with Sparkpeople for a while, but life happened and I didn't make progress. I was focused on other areas of my life.

Now is the time to lay the basis for my future. Not through thinking or planning, but through acting and LIVING!

My overall goals:
Be healthy, fit and flexible.
Make my business thrive.
Live in a pleasant environment.
Own what I need and let everything else go.

Yes, it is a time of cleaning, clearing and acting.
Does the sentence "I have to sort through that pile(s) of paper and have to file them away" sound familiar to you? Welcome to the club! This is the next big personal project, to work on that paper! One piece at a time, one pile at a time!

And I'm doing a virtual walk from Munich to Venice, a livelong dream of crossing the Alps.

Why I want to loose weight?
It is more about making some lifestyle changes and making healthy choices.
To be able to walk longer distances and enjoy nature.
To have less pain or even become painfree in my back and my knees.
To feel better.
To move easier.
To honor life.

"It happens - you miss a few workouts and you feel like you've fallen off the weight-loss wagon.
It's tempting to mentally slap yourself around, right? (Or head for the fridge.)
Before you start, I want to remind you of something: Being hard on yourself is the Old You.
The New You knows how to deal with setbacks and get back on the wagon.
And after all, there are no mistakes, just learning experiences. Weight loss is a process - it takes time.
You will encounter small failures - everyone does - but every pound you gain can be lost.
And if you miss a workout, it's not the end of the world!
Get to the gym the next day and continue to focus on your short-term goals.
Just because you made bad choices today doesn't mean you can't start over tomorrow.
New day? New beginning. And don't you forget it!"

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation.
You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals.
Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
-Robert McKain

"You are capable and worthy of being and doing anything.
You just need the discipline and determination to see it through.
It won't come instantly, and you may backslide from time to time, but don't let that deter you.
Never give up. Life is an ever-changing process, and nothing is final.
Therefore, each moment and every new day is a chance to begin anew."
-Barbara Cage

"Your own words are the bricks and mortar of the dreams you want to realize.
Your words are the greatest power you have.
The words you choose and their use establish the life you experience."

" Whenever you make a mistake or get knocked down by life, don't look back at it too long.
Mistakes are life's way of teaching you. Your capacity for occasional blunders is inseparable from your capacity to reach your goals.
No one wins them all, and your failures, when they happen, are just part of your growth. Shake off your blunders.
How will you know your limits without an occasional failure? Never quit. Your turn will come."
-Og Mandino

I hope your week has been going well, Spark friend! Keep doing your best to reach your goals, and remember that even baby steps will get you there if you take enough of them. Don't ever give up, and don't ever forget that you are worth the effort. I'm here if you need support!
Hugs,
Pixie
