Hello Sparkspeople! I am new to this website. Actually, I had started my own exercise routine on June 11th, and was browsing looking for a weight tracking slider to put on myspace page(www.myspace.com/blanco1106) and that is when I came across Sparks! I am glad I did! I love all the articles and exercises they show (with demos)... I also enjoy that they give you good ideas for eating healthy.

Anyways about me, well I am in my early 30's, I have 4 boys. I haven't always watched ...
Hello Sparkspeople! I am new to this website. I am glad I did! I love all the articles and exercises they show (with demos)... I also enjoy that they give you good ideas for eating healthy.

Anyways about me, well I am in my early 30's, I have 4 boys. I haven't always watched what I eat since I am tall (5'6) I look taller than that cuz I have long legs, I don't look too overweight (just mostly my mid-esection), but now I am feeling heavy and tired all the time. I started bike riding around the neighborhood (5 laps = 4.5 miles) and that is what is working for me. I just recently added strength training with dumbells and I am super sore! When I started I weighed myself at 184 lbs., and haven't weighed myself since then. I feel lighter and energized. I start my morning at 5:30 am and that keeps me up and bouncy all morning and basically all day

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 42 lbs this will get me to a normal BMI. Currently, my BMI is 29.7 and that makes me right on the border of being obese.

My Program:
Bike Riding has really boosted my weight loss and energy level. I bike ride around the neighborhood 5 laps = 4.5 miles 6 days a wk. I am focusing on eating healthy. No diet plan, just smaller proportions. Oatmeal in the morning. Adding dumbells to strength training exercises targeting specific areas.

My name is Maribel. I live in South Texas right by the border of Mexico. I am in my early 30's and I have 4 boys (ages: 13, 10, 8, and 7). I recently remarried (8 months ago) and now have 6 step-children (whom do not live with us, unfortunately)

Wow!! You are really doing a great job! I have found out that pizza will be few and far between, instead of a weekly thing for me....my husband and me are both working on managing our intake and seeing results, its pretty simple....you are an inspiration to see your weight loss results....keep up the great work!!
