Summer 2015 5% CHALLENGE.

I want to be happier, healthier, more "grounded," and less overwhelmed with life.

And I'd really, really, really like to get to onderland.

I will be "on vacation" for about half of the Summer Challenge -- and so part of the challenge is to make this time away from work truly life-giving.

I have been thinking a lot about work/life balance and "sabbath" and how recreation can be re-creation.

My Goals:
I want to lose weight...gain strength and stamina...and be a more positive, happy, calm person.

My Program:
Diet Plan for the 5% Summer Challenge:
I will eat breakfast, and something healthy every 3-4 hours. I will limit salt-bad fats-and sugars. I will take special care to LIMIT SALT. I will drink A LOT of water. I will write down everything I eat. And I will do all of this during vacation!

Fitness Plan for 5% Summer Challenge:
I will GET UP and MOVE every 30-60 minutes at work...and at least every hour that we're driving on vacation. I will walk for at least 30 minutes/day... and stretch for 20-minutes each evening. I will consciously ENJOY all the extra movement that travel involves (packing and unpacking the car, hauling suitcases, walking at tourist sites, etc., etc.).

Personal Information:
I am 55. I am married (no children). I am a minister. I want to be a happy person with healthy boundaries and work/life balance.

Other Information:
Old habit: when I am overwhelmed, I EAT to isolate.
New habit: self-compassion and breathe, breathe, breathe.

Hi Marilyn!
Welcome aboard to the Firecracker Team for the Spring 5% challenge, and welcome back to Team Firecracker! We have a great group of people and are getting ready to have our fuses lit and will be taking off Saturday April 4th!

Please let me know if you have any questions about our page, or if you need help with anything.
