    Thanks for your comments on my page and for reading my Huffington Post article. I think those of us who are past our 20's and 30's need to remember that we are important people too, and that excessive weight is so much worse as we get older. I remember looking at the pictures in our newspaper of the couples celebrating 50 and 60 years of marriage and noticing that none of them were fat. That's because us fatties don't live long enough to see milestone anniversaries like that. I also worried about my mobility as I was approaching 60 years and dreaded having to use a walker or even a wheelchair. I could do so little if it involved physical activity. Just going to the grocery store was a chore, and I used the grocery cart as a walker to help me get around. Today....I let hubby push the cart when we are together buying groceries. I don't need it anymore!

    I know you will be a success story too. I always thought I had something inside of me that was "special." Maybe gaining almost 200 lbs. and then losing it and KEEPING IT OFF, is my "special" thing. I know I caused the weight gain, but people are so nice, they never blame you for causing your own problem, they only admire you for solving it. I think that's because so many people fight the battle of the bulge, maybe not to the extent I had to (I had to lose 180 lbs. to hit the top end of a normal BMI), but just about everybody would like to lose at least 5-10 lbs. It's a universal problem, and people recognize how difficult it is.

    Hi! I saw your post on Ft Lauderdale team and noticed you have a Wii Fit! I just bought mine not too long ago and I am super excited to start using it :) What else do you like doing for exercise? I am a huge fan of Turbo Jam. I prefer to work out at home because I can motivate myself to just throw on my clothes and do atleast 10mins ... rather then try to motivate myself to throw on my clothes and drive to the gym! :) I need to add in some weight training though. Anyways, I'm going to add you :)
