My overall goal is to lose weight so that I can have a healthier body. I would like to get in 8 glasses of water daily, eat more fruits and vegetables and exercise at least 5 days per week.
I plan to start exercising on a regular basis 5 days a week. I love to walk, I joined SparkPeople for support and motivation to achieve my health goals.
I am from St. Louis, Missouri, I was born and raised here and I love the outdoors. This is my reason for choosing walking as an exercise. It is also free and it doesn't cost a thing. I am hoping there are other members from this area on SparkPeople; maybe we can start a walking club. I would love to do that with some other people.
I love to read. It is very difficult for me to pick a favorite book because I have read so many good and well written books. I also like to write. I love movies and I have seen some great ones I have many favorites. One of my favorites is the Titanic.
We'll meet at 9, right after opening/gather on the benches just inside the entrance-we can walk as a large group, or break up & meet back at a central location around noon, if not sooner...I'm hoping it won't be unbearably hot, but should be shade, anyway! l Looking forward to meeting you! Dee
OK, so how's the MO Botanical Garden on July 17 at 9 a.m. sound? We could meet at the Visitor's Center and walk around for 2 hours-there's a 'Health Fair' going on the same day, too! If you're a resident of St. Louis County or St. Louis City, admission is FREE before noon-otherwise it's $8 for adults...the place opens at 9 a.m., so it wouldn't be quite as hot then, but we could do 10 as well...lots to do/see here & plenty of walking exercise & time to get to know fellow STL 'Sparkers'!!!
