Protein helps build muscle and can prevent overeating because it makes you feel fuller longer. But what about these protein bars - - are they a good choice? The New York Times cautions us to be aware of the sugar content and the calories when choosing a protein bar. Whey and soy are used as the protein source in most bars and lack taste and flavor so the makers of these bars add high fructose corn syrup and other low calorie sweeteners to make them taste good. The calorie count of these bars can also be high; close to two hundred and fifty calories and many have the same amount of calories and protein as a turkey sandwich which is not good for weight loss. The bottom line: choose unprocessed snacks like almonds or eggs to eat right after a vigorous workout instead of a processed protein bar. 20 hours ago

Good morning my spark friend! I did a 30 minute walk after my shift last night and it felt great. I think 30 minutes of walking is an excellent way to go.
It shows you're committed to getting out and being active. :)
Thanks for motivating me to get out and walk more.
I do like rubber stamping. I have a fairly large collection of stamps. I think they're great to add a little pizzaz to any crafty project. I like stamping, cutting out the shape and filling it in with water colors. I've never exchanged cards with someone before. I'm newer to card-making. My friends got valentine's for each other and I made some cute valentine's day cards for them so I would be part of their celebration.
My arts and crafts have taken the back burner while I focus on more active hobbies. LOL.
I hope you have a thrilling Thursday! :) 1 day ago
