Thank you for reading my blog 'send some prayers my way'. Thank you for the prayers and for the vote of confidence.

Glad to know I'm not alone, Julia. Next time I'm with family, I'll be mindful that there are probably many of us feeling the pull to join the crowd, playing out various rationales in our mind to make it okay to abandon our program:" just this once,"(that one's getting old!); "I'm never gonna finish my program anyway"; or "I'll eat less tomorrow."
I like your strategy of focusing on the pay-off. Smaller pants? Yes!!! Feeling lighter, being stronger, practicing new habits, AND definitely fitting into some of my favorite clothes from sizes past.
Let's make 2013 THE year to finally just do this. Cheers!

I related to your comment on the holiday eating thread. I do not like abandoning my SP philosophy either when eating with family or friends. I get a little jealous that everyone is eating large portions and I want to eat what I want and as much as I want..till I get that food high feeling. Especially Italian places ..it's difficult to say no to myself. But I too want to be slimmer and healthier. Well, a new year ahead and I plan to crack down on myself when I'm eating out. More salad and water... and more envisioning myself in smaller pants size. Good luck..thanks for your comment. I'll remember it at the next dining out challenge. :) Happy New year!
