I receive much wise counsel through the Holy Bible. Scripture is full of wisdom for all, whether they are a believer or not. Here is the wisdom I receive today as I prepare for April's focus on developing a willingness that makes me able to succeed:
Isaiah advises us, "For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, 'In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.' But you were not willing" ~ Isaiah 30:15.
We miss out on good things in life when we are unwilling to cooperate in doing what is needful for achieving the good we desire. God through Isaiah tells us that our consenting to cooperate with laws, rules, guidelines, etc., leads to our eating "the best of the land" (Isaiah 1:18-20). Willingness to do what we must for what we want is a necessary mindset for overcoming temptation and the failure to achieve. Develop a willingness to do what it takes within the boundaries of what is good, right, and true, and you will go far in life.
"If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself" ~ John 7:17. 55 days ago
Thank you for your kind comments on my painting blog. I wonder now what I am going to do with all my paintings. DH thinks I should find a spot in the house and rotate them. So far I have 3 winter paintings so if I did three per season, I could have a new one in that spot every month. LOL 61 days ago
Thanks for your kind words on my blog (and for all your support). Things have been going well for DH in PT and all has been well with my folks so far. The great grandson is trying, I'll give him that.
