A quest to learn how to have a healthy, normal relationship with food (and thus the end of dieting)

I've been obese my whole life and I am sick of it! My inspiration for losing weight is:

1) Clothes shopping. I want to be able to buy whatever I want! And I want some jeans that fit my 6' body! and since I sew clothes I'd like more selection in pattern sizes.

2) I am not living my life, and it is largely related to my size

3) I want to adopt older children through foster care in 5+ years. You need to be healthy. i want to have an active healthy lifestyle ...

I have been working hard over the last several years to permenantly change habits for the good, both food realated and non-food related. I am proudest of overcoming my extreme pickyness (love to try things now!), learning to love water, learning to cook decently, learning to manage my anxiety disorder, overcoming depression and ending an eating disorder (binge eating disorder) and I especially loved learning to love my body and finding my style to express myself!!

Wow...your comment really had me thinking. You're right me going earlier hasn't changed his thoughts...in fact if he was to see me again, he'd think the same thing. I'm pretty sure he's mentioned i haven't been in a while.
The thing with this guy is he likes to talk alot..and when the regular gym goers are there he's on a high. He loves an audience. Out of the men who go at the same time, he's the gossip. He talks bad behind each of their backs. When i returned about 3 months ago, the first thing he said thinking he sounded cool was, "Oh look we have a new girl, hi new girl" because i hand't been to which i replied, "Just because you don't see me here, doesn't mean i'm not going." He was the same one that said, "Oh look, she's put it on again."

I know i'm not meant to care, but i don't want to put myself in a situation where i'll be upset. Also i go to a compartment gym so it's very small. Only 3 treadmills, a bike, elliptical, and some weight machines so it's easy to see everyone =/
Thankyou so much for the comment, have a goodnight.

Thanks for your blog comment! It makes sense that we'd have a weight where our bodies are comfortable. Maybe you're right. Maybe thats where my body just wants to be.

Thanks for the sweet comments! Have a great day!
