I've been dealing with food, exercise, weight, and self-esteem issues since I was a teenager especially through my college years. Now as an astronomy PhD student, I want to feel good about myself, sane, fit, and productive.

I love good food, I love good wine, and I would love to find the balance between indulgence and healthy habits!

I love running; I trained and ran my first half marathon this April and second half marathon this August. I got about halfway through marathon training for the Nike Women's Marathon which would have been this past October, but had to drop the training and running altogether because I developed runner's knee. After ~4 months of physical therapy, I'm running again! Woohoo! But after 2 months of marathon training (which made me super hungry!) and 2 months essentially off of cardio but still eating like a distance runner, I've gained about 12 pounds! I now weigh about 162. I've been trying to watch what I eat again, but really struggling this time. I would LOVE to be down to ~155 by Christmas.

Let's do what I did back when I lost this weight in 2010 (I went from ~180 to ~150 in the course of a year!) Mini-goals!
