1. Reach my goal weight. I have set that at 135 lbs, but I'm not stuck on a specific number. My body will tell me when I'm at the correct weight. 2. Reach the highest physical fitness level I can. This is an on-going goal. 3. I want to run a 5K. 4. Use the momentum from my weight loss in the rest of my life.
I am using what resources we have...walking, running, riding bike, fitness videos and the Bowflex that's been gathering dust in the basement.
I am a mom with 4 boys ranging from 12-3 years old and 2 stepchildren ages 13 and 16. My husband and I are both working on our fitness and weight goals this year. We are very busy parents but have begun making our health a priority. By doing so, we are showing our children that fitness should be a way of life. They have become much more active and are learning too about healthy food and lifestyles!
I am currently enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition studying to be a Holistic Health Counselor. I'm learning how to guide people to their best lives through nutrition and balancing other 'primary' foods such as relationships, physical activity, spirituality and career. I am VERY excited to open my Holistic Health Counseling practice in November 2011.
