On my way!
I am 28 years old and have been battling my weight for at least 10 years. In college, my weight ballooned from 150lbs to my heaviest, 265 lbs. After graduating and moving to the Milwaukee, WI area, I was able to drop 50 lbs about 3 years ago. Little by little, the weight crept back on. I am 28 years old and have been battling my weight for at least 10 years. In college, my weight ballooned from 150lbs to my heaviest, 265 lbs. After graduating and moving to the Milwaukee, WI area, I was able to drop 50 lbs about 3 years ago. Little by little, the weight crept back on. This past February, I stepped on the scale and was shocked to see that I had inched my way back up to 245lbs. I joined Weight Watchers and was able to lose about 14lbs between March and July. I wasn't happy with the WW program, and I found myself sticking with it for a few days and then binging--only to hate myself more and repeat the cycle. I decided to try Spark People to give myself a better understanding of the way my body works and to feel less restricted. I have never been one to swear off food--I love it too darn much! My goal is to get down to 140lbs, which is still, technically, not within my BMI range, but I would be comfortable and happy at that weight. I'm loving SP so far, and I getting very into fitness and learning to train my body and teach it to be efficient. I'm excited and optimistic for this journey--I know it won't be easy, but the payoff will be well worth it!

My Goals:
Reach goal weight Run a 5k
My Program:
Tracking my foods, trying to stay within my calorie range, and work out 6-7 days a week. 3-4 days a week with cross training and strength training, and the other days with harder workouts to challenge myself. Eventually I would like to be able to run a 5K.
Personal Information:
I live in the Milwaukee, WI area. I am single, and have to sassy cats that keep me on my toes. Who knew cats had personalities or were so needy?
Other Information:
I love, love, love to read. It's my most favorite thing to do, and in my free moments I'm usually curled up with a book. I'm also trying to get into Bible study and grow in my faith.
