My Journey: From Loss to Recovery

My little boy Julian was born sleeping (stillborn) January 26, 2012. After going through an immense amount of grief, I've decided to change my lifestyle for the positive and take better care of myself. Throughout all of this I've realized how precious and short life is. I have 70+ lbs to lose and am going to work hard to get to where I need to be.

Things I want to do...

1.) See my collarbone again & look cute in a sun dress!
2.) Run, jump & play with my ...

Throughout all of this I've realized how precious and short life is. I have 70+ lbs to lose and am going to work hard to get to where I need to be.

Things I want to do...

1.) See my collarbone again & look cute in a sun dress!
2.) Run, jump & play with my kids without feeling like I'm going to pass out.
3.) Hike a long trail with my backpacker/photographer hubby.
4.) Do a 5K. Even if I walk or walk/jog, I want to do it.
5.) Hike the Skyline Trail on Mount Rainier (WA State) & go all the way to Camp Muir!

My Goals:
For every 10 lbs. I lose, I plan to treat myself to non-food things...haircut/highlights, mani/pedi, clothes, camping trips, etc.

I plan to lose 70+ lbs and I know this is going to be a big challenge, but I'm up to the task!

My Program:
I am doing 30 min. of cardio 5x/week, strength training 3x/week, also adding in some yoga/pilates when I can.

Diet-wise, I'm doing lots of veggies and fruits. I had gestational diabetes with my pregnancies & I am pre-diabetic. I want to learn healthy habits now while I'm fairly young so I don't have problems down the road.

Other Information:
I love to do anything outdoors! My husband and I are really into camping, hiking, backpacking. I'm married to a nature photographer, so that definitely has its perks.

I live in Indiana, but my heart belongs in WA State. Mt. Rainier is my happy place.
