A work in progress

I am on a journey, a very long journey, to finding a healthier and more active lifestyle for myself and my family. The first big challenge is figuring out what to change. The second challenge is finding TIME to implement change. The third challenege is making the changes permanent. I am up for the challenges, however it seems to be taking a long time. Such is life I suppose. Rome wasn't built in a day.

My Goals:
I'm not going to lie. I want to be skinny! Actually, I'm not concerned with what the scale says as much as I am with how I look and feel. I want to be healthy. I want to model a healthy lifestyle for my children. I want to have more energy.

My Program:
Better diet (hoping to try and stick with paleo), exercise (I want to be able to run, but I'll settle for in home dvd's for now), and a positive attitude (no more self bashing).

Personal Information:
I'll always be a midwestern girl, but I married a soldier and have lived all sorts of places. So far I have learned that I love Germany and loathe the southwest. I'm way out of my comfort zone sharing and seeking support. I'm used to being the rock for everyone including myself. I rarely ask for help, but that doesn't mean I rarely need it. Here's hoping this venture is helpful!

Other Information:
I love to bake and decorate cakes. In a former life, I was a floral designer.

What's up mamacita? How are you feeling in your tall boots lately? Before we know it, summer will be here and we'll be back in flip flops. Maybe mini skirts, too? (I myself am feeling like I could wear sweaters and baggy pants for the rest of my life, but I hope it's jut a mood and will pass...) Anyway, just checking in!

Thank so much for the friend add and the comment on my blog! I added you back! :) I wanted to say that is exactly how it's felt sometimes. Gaining a portion back, I started to feel like I had really messed up EVERYTHING, and I had to take a step back and see that it wasn't the end of the world and that I can still get it under control. :) I have to remind myself that there is still 70ish pounds that aren't attached to my body and I have the power to keep it that way. :) Keep up the great work! emoticon
