In 2004 I was 233 lbs and lost 90 lbs. I accomplished this on a somewhat low carb diet. I went vegan in 2009 and gained 20 lbs then got PG and gained 50 more. In 2011 I started losing weight and by 2013 I had lost 70 lbs. I did that by just eating healthy whole foods and cutting out all junk food. I had a mental breakdown in May of 2013 and was diagnosed as bipolar. I have steadily been gaining weight and my binge eating that I've suffered from my whole life has reared it's ugly head ...

I joined SP so I could have a place to vent my food emotions and try to get a handle on my weight before I gain all that I've lost back. I read the book Grain Brain and am following a High Fat Low Carb diet because the book suggests it helps with mental illnesses. I started this diet Dec 26th 2013 at 152 lbs. I lost 13 lbs within the 1st month but then binge eating has caused me to gain and lose back in forth when I go off the diet and get back on it.

My Goals:

Other Information:
I started weightlifting in Nov 2011 and Added running in Dec 2012. I've ran countless 5ks including obstacle races. 10Ks and one half marathon. I used to love running but lately have lost my passion and I just walk and lift weights. Seems like since my breakdown in May 2013 I just go through the motions of exercise. I don't enjoy it like I used to. Not sure if it's the medication or depression.
