Hi. My name is Ted. I'm 38 years old. And I want my healthy life back.

I was a SparkPeople success story. I followed the plan. I set goals. I formed new habits. I achieved goals and saw results. I lost 25 pounds. I ran my first 5k. I bought new clothes. I gained self-confidence. I was where I wanted to be and where I wanted to stay.

And then I let myself go. That was just over a year ago. I'm now 30 pounds overweight. I've forsaken my conditioning. I've grown lazy in my eating choices. I've stopped all but stopped running. I can see and feel the changes I've allowed to happen. I'm low on energy. And the circumstances only feed into my lack of desire to make changes.

I want my health and fitness back. I want my confidence to return. I want to run and bike again. I want to hike and geocache again. I want to want to look at myself in a mirror.

I want my life back.

So I'm going to do this again. I know I'm not alone in my struggles and challenges. We can do this, right?

Here's to seizing life. Everyday.

Starting 6/14/11, my goals are:

To lose 30 pounds.

To run for 30 minutes without stopping or walking.

To enter, run and finish a 5k before 1/1/2012.

To find 5 geocaches before 9/1/2011.

To read 5 books before 9/1/2011.

To join a spin class in 9/2011 and spin 2-3 times a week through 12/2011.

To join a yoga/pilates class in 9/2011 and attend 1-2 times a week through 12/2011.


My Program:
10 min Lower Body strength routine - Tuesdays

10 min Core Body strength routine - Thursdays

10 min Upper Body strength routine - Sundays

Walk 10 minutes or more every day of the week

Run C25K program M-W-S

Track my food/calorie intake daily using SparkPeople tools

Drink 8 or more glasses of water every day of the week
