I Finally Did it!!!

My Story:

I finally followed through with something and underwent gastric bypass surgery (RNY). I have struggled with my weight all my life. I tried numerous diets and wasn't able to follow through with any of them.

The decision to have RNY is a very personal an difficult one. And now having undergone the procedure, I see that it is a lot like all the other diets I have tried in the past. It is a tool that I must follow and commit to, to get to my goal weight. Surgery ...

Surgery isn't the easy way out!

I went into surgery weighing in at 195.8 lbs. and my goal is to loss 81 lbs. by January 2011.

I am sharing with you my journey because I hope to help someone who is struggle with their weight and their decision to have weight loss surgery.

Hi, well I just found out that I'm getting laid off, so things could be better, but they could be worse too I guess. I think I have about a month here before we get laid off at least. I guess once I get laid off I really have no excuses not to get in more exercise. How's things with you?

Give it time. I'm going to share some information and I hope it helps. After I had my first child, I thought that my body would look the way it did forever. There was not a day that went by that I didn't feel awful about my figure. The doctor told me give it time and that my body isn't fully healed from having the baby. I, overcourse, thought the Dr. was just saying it to make me feel better. But you know what? He was right! After 9 months my body looked better than it did before I got preganant. So keep your chin up, let your body heal, and you'll see....
