1) My primary goal is to actually follow-through and stay dedicated to my goals.... funny I know... but soooooo true!

3) Develop Healthy Eating Habits
4) Find that "one" fitness plan that I will enjoy and continue
3) "Maintain" a Healthy Weight
I'm starting with "baby steps". I hope to continuously improve ... making better choices with healthier food selections, understanding I must control portions and not eat for the wrong reason. My biggest challenge will be to get active and find something I enjoy and will stick with.
I've been overweight almost all of my adult life. When I was younger, I carried the weight better and had no health issues. I shrugged off my doctor's advise to lose the weight because I had no diagnosed disease relating to my obesity. In the past 5 years... I've started falling apart. I have horrible knees. I struggle with stairs, walking and even standing at times. I've developed a variety of illnesses that may or may not be aggravated by poor eating and inactivity. I want to be able to play with my grandkids and live to see all of the important events in their lives. At any rate, I abused my body and now I have to fix it!
Just wanted to stop by and give you a BIG WELCOME to the 50 Pound Challege Team! Please read through the Challenge Information if you haven't already and make sure to introduced yourself yet to the team. I would ask that you take the time to do that as it will provide us with some insight as to where you are at and how we can help support you. Just go to the Team site and under the Introductions Section you will see a Thread called "IMPORTANT: Introduce Yourself To Team~MUST READ~" click on it and it will guide you through the introduction. If there is anything we can do to help you, answer questions, provide support or encouragement, please let us know as we are all on this weight loss journey together!
Be sure to post your weight in the Weigh-In Results and Challenge Forum and be sure to come back on the last day of every month and update your weight if you want to remain in the challenge.
