Midlife wakeup call

Hi, I live in the central valley of California and after living away from home for over four years for work, now have a job close to home. Now the challenge is to not continue gaining weight with my new less active job.

2015 is going to be the year I rekindle my passion for running.

I am looking at some destination races at the end of 2015 and am only allowing myself to go if I run the races. I hope that motivates me to train.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing." - Adidas

Thanks for commenting on my blog!! I am just now starting to feel a little more sane, & trying to catch up with some Sparking! emoticon

Our container arrives at it's port in Mobile, AL on June 6th, & then has to clear customs (which can take about a week), then they will deliver it to us. We have signed a lease for a house, & can move in on June 8th. This week, my running took a huge hit, because of all the craziness, but I am working on getting my routine back quickly. Don't want to get too derailed!!

Heading out for a long run now! Have a great weekend!!

emoticon to the Spark Fresno Team:

Please check out the TEAM PAGE, There you will find information about everything we have to offer as a TEAM. Including Meet & Greets each month and we try to plan other fun activities. So come JOIN in the fun and see YOU on the MESSAGE BOARDS. YAY!!.

We are here to help encourage and motivate each other. Weight loss is not a journey we do well when we are all alone. Success comes when we flock together.

Most Importantly, Have Fun, Live and Love Life. emoticon

Oh my gosh!! My boyfriend just bought a house in Fresno, so I may eventually move there. He works at Selma Unified so I have been spending some time there. I told him I wouldn't give up my SparkWalks, and so I may be spending every other weekend in Fresno.. thought I would join the team to see if they had anything going on while I am there :)

Thanks for thinking of me! I actually signed up for the Big Sur full so rather than run this as a full I walked the half to support my sister and then I ran back somewhere between 3 and 4 miles and caught up with Dee and came back in with her and finished with a total of 21 miles today :)
