Midlife wakeup call

Hi, I live in the central valley of California and travel quite a bit for my job. I am looking for some motivation and accountability so I can stay the course for my fitness goals.

2012 is going to be a test of my motivation as my long-distance running partner is pregnant and won't be running the distances I want to run. So this is the year I dig deep and motivate myself!

My Goals:
2012 Fitness Goals

While doing this I found so many events I want to do, it is really hard to decide on just a few...so this list will be evolving as the year progresses.

March 18, Run the Modesto Half Marathon in less than 2:45. - Broken foot, couldn't run the event, but did provide support to friends.

March 31, Cinderella 100k bicycle ride. -Broken foot, didn't train for it.

April 21, Lathrop Mud Run 5k. Nope, didn't do this either.

May 19-20, Fresno Classic Weekend.
Saturday: 100k bicycle ride
Sunday: 1/2 marathon (wanted to do this last year, will do it this year!) - Foot healed, but not enough training to do either.

June 3: Alameda See Jane Run 1/2 marathon. -See above excuse.

June 10, Black Butte Sprint Tri (last year's race kicked my tuckus, can't wait to do it again) -Repeated excuse from above.

July 14, Davis Moo-nlight 1/2 marathon - Goal is now the 10k event.

October 27: Warrior Das

Continuing to improve my running.

Track my calories daily

Track my fitness daily

Stay positive!

Banish "all or nothing" mentality!

Oh how I thank you for commenting on my status. I am so beyond bummed on how it just gets worse each time. I ALWAYS have that Dory in my head too! ;)

I run as slow as I possibly can, just shy of it looking like I am walking...but my body says it wants me to WALK. I run then my heart rate starts getting higher, and my breathing can't get controlled, then my chest starts hurting, little by little....

All I want is to have aid stations on my run so I can pour the water over my head like I do when racing! I run so early that there is NO WHERE open to stop in and wet myself or anything else. Plus where I run..there is barely any places anyways.
