My name is Mags. I'm 27 years old and have been working on living a healthier life since March 2009. Prior to joining SP mid-January 2010, I managed to lose 24 lbs and 18". I joined with the intent of losing 8 lbs to reach my original goal weight; I reached it on March 2nd, 2010! Now, in January 2013, Iíve gone through a number of major changes. Öand through all of these changes, Iíve gained 18 lbs and Iím once again seeing numbers on the scale I thought Iíd left behind for good. I miss being in the best shape of my life. Not just the way I looked (I still look pretty good!), but also the way I felt. I had more energy, I was making better choices, and I was taking care of myself so that I wouldnít suffer in the future. Iím bound and determined to get back there this year.

After starting my weight loss journey in March '09, I started looking into my family's history of health issues. My overall intention is to have a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and exercise - I do not want to have to deal with heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, blood pressure, or blood sugar, stroke, etc, etc, etc. As long as I can eat healthfully, exercise regularly, live actively, and stay well within a healthy BMI, I should be able to avoid most, if not all, of these issues.

Here's to living a healthy lifestyle!

Hey Mags thanx for the comment on my blog. I was wanting to do a running total on my milage so I guess I am just going to record the elliptical as walk/run on the milage tracker. 100 miles is a lot to keep track of and I would like to keep track the same way on here as I do in my fitness log here at home. LOL My OCD is just going ot have to back off for a bit. LOL

Hi Mags! I'm doing great, thanks for asking. I've shifted gears a bit lately, focusing more on my fitness routine to shed these last few pounds and FINALLY reach my goal. Just 12 pounds away.... so close! emoticon I hope you are doing well!
