I am 29 and have been overweight for most of my life. I currently weigh 287 pounds and feel like it's much more. When I was younger being overweight never bothered me because I was still very active and could keep up with all my friends. Since I have gotten older and been in a job where I sit all day I am finally feeling that I need to change something. I have lost a large amount of weight previously but I have gained it back plus some. Over the last six months I have been slowly losing weight ...

When I was younger being overweight never bothered me because I was still very active and could keep up with all my friends. Since I have gotten older and been in a job where I sit all day I am finally feeling that I need to change something. I have lost a large amount of weight previously but I have gained it back plus some. Over the last six months I have been slowly losing weight by exercising more and watching what I eat. However losing my job recently has put a damper on my motivation. I figure since Angi uses SparkePeople and loves it I would give it a try.

Here are my 10% goals with my starting weight at 293 which is what I was at when I really got into sparking. I hope to be at my first 10% by my birthday in April.

Update 4/9/2014
The last year has been very overwhelming for me physically, my weight has gone back up and I continue to deal with pain issues that my doctors have not been able to diagnose. However, I have decided that I AM going to push through this pain. My husband and I have joined the new gym that just opened and we are planning to go pretty much every day that we can. This gym comes with a personal trainer visit once a month and it is a very supportive environment. The best part is they have a pool! I have also met with my doctor and discussed the healthiest way for me to go about losing weight, so now I will be on a high protein diet that is supplemented with fiber and lots of veggies. My goal is to lose 1-2 pounds per week.

Well my plan is to simply eat healthier and track my food. I will also become more active by working on the wii fit everyday and walking more.

LMAO!! It sure is a picture of Henry and I. AND IN THE SAME PLACE AT THE SAME TIME LMFAO!!!

I love you and I miss you. Wanna hike the full length of the futures trail with me on my birthday?? It's 4.5 miles to the top, then back down. So, 9 miles total. It 2 weeks. What do you think?
