Spring Has Sprung

School's out pretty soon and it's suddenly beautiful here. All kinds of reasons to be happy and hopeful. I'm going to try and stay focused in a small way - like, I'll do lots of SparkPeople-ing from now until mid-July and then regroup. This weight has got to come off and Thinking Good Thoughts hasn't worked.
So annoying.

Haha! Thanks for the Goodies, Rip van Winkle! Now that school is almost out, you are AWAKE and ALIVE and HAPPY.

Hmmm...what does that say about your job? emoticon

Seriously, good to hear from you---was getting worried!

(and, somewhat-related to your daughter's b-day on Mother's Day---nice!: My Grandma's birthday is first week of May. She died at age 100, 10 years ago, but left behind a plant, which my mom left to *me*. So, this plant lived to be about nine, then was DYING (I blamed DH), and I was mortified, since it had "outlived" my Grandma.)!

Lo and behold, it had given birth to a baby! (or whatever, I'm not a horticulturist) "Baby Grandma" plant is alive and well, ten years after my Grandma died. Isn't that kind of weird? I think so. I still give it a drop of wine now and then, in honor of her. emoticon emoticon

Oh great, I come here to thank you for my SparkGoodie, and Pam is talking about cat spray, one of the current Banes of My Existence (co-existing with cat poop from senile cat, crazy DH, old home falling apart, Other Drivers during morning commute...)

Thank you for the virtual concert tix...I'm dying to go see some live entertainment! It's a dichotomy: I like to think I'm still hip, but I don't like to drive at night anymore, or go out to see a show that starts at 9 or 10. emoticon I think to myself...I'll be wanting my slippers and nightcap by that late hour, by criminy! emoticon

Anyway, I'm not familiar with Jacques Brel! Serge, yeah, and some others, but not that guy...I will check it out.

One thing about cat spray on clothes: You may as well burn the sweater. The stench will remain forever, very much THERE. Eeuuu

Try an enzyme spray on the rest of the house. I have one called Urine Begone or something like that, and I have used it on hard wood floors and it worked. You have to use it a couple of times.

Cats who spray really want to go for a long swim with the fishes....

Oh what a lovely background photo! I don't see that many colourful birds in Canada. Is this a bluebird?
