Spring Has Sprung

School's out pretty soon and it's suddenly beautiful here. All kinds of reasons to be happy and hopeful. I'm going to try and stay focused in a small way - like, I'll do lots of SparkPeople-ing from now until mid-July and then regroup. This weight has got to come off and Thinking Good Thoughts hasn't worked.
So annoying.

Hey! Thanks for your support!

I graciously tried to prod said teacher in proper direction, and simultaneously was trying to get my kid to do *his* part. Somehow, it worked and his grade was greatly bumped up to found-and-acknowledged assignments.

End result (final grade) pending, but I feel much better about things overall. Thanks for your help in setting fire to my pants.

You are probably having the same-or-similar end-of-year-insanity that I am experiencing. Oy! (faceplant)

I mean, I KNOW the teacher is probably having her OWN issues right now, but yeah, I'm gonna email her if my kid is MISSING three assignments he insists he turned in (and one was a particular item he saw her email to herself on school-issued laptop!).

I'm feeling like the Grinch. It will all be over soon, Goddess help us all.

Namaste.

Hey Maggie! I have been sooooooo busy!! Sorry to have taken so long to get back to you. I love your page - the bluebird, the lilacs! I miss lilacs. I like to go pilfer them from unsuspecting bushes around the city.

Hope you are having a great weekend and your upcoming week is stellar!

OK, just putting this out there: Do you think it's (MM FR) ok for a 13 and 15 yr. old? I kind of think it is. OMG, someone had brought a YOUNG child to the movie when we were there. *shudder*

I think my standards have shifted *down*, though. I used to have higher standards for my kids. Then again, considering what they've seen...they are mature for their age.

Re: walking. Can you do smaller amounts at a time? You *do* have a dog, right? My mom has arthritis, and walked less and less as she got older, and is rather stooped and can't walk at a normal pace. She's 84. I worry that *I* won't be able to walk 30+ years from now, but am more active than she was at my age. Then again, my dad always stayed active and he still seems more active. So I'm hoping that active begets active...?

By the way, snuck out to see Mad Max: Fury Road yesterday, and it is AMAZEBALLS. Only for fans of the original Mad Max movies, though.
It's the original director! And feminist storyline!
